Free plan
Class A examples: ListBuckets, PutBucket, ListObjects, PutObject, CopyObject, multipart create/upload/complete, and bucket CORS, encryption, and lifecycle writes.
Paid plan
Class B examples: HeadBucket, HeadObject, GetObject, UsageSummary, and the getters for encryption, location, CORS, and lifecycle.
What it means
Free operations: DeleteObject, DeleteBucket, AbortMultipartUpload. Unauthorized 401 responses are not billed.
What it does to a bill
Standard Class A is $4.50 per million and Class B is $0.36 per million, after the free tier, rounded up.
