R2 pricing calculator

R2 bills three things: storage at $0.015 per GB-month, Class A operations at $4.50 per million and Class B operations at $0.36 per million. Egress is free. Every account gets 10 GB-month, 1,000,000 Class A and 10,000,000 Class B operations a month at no cost, on Free and on Paid.

Class A (writes and lists): PutObject, CopyObject, multipart uploads, ListObjects.
Class B (reads): GetObject, HeadObject. Each download is one Class B operation.
Free: DeleteObject and egress (bandwidth out), with no cap.

Why does it cost this?

The Free plan does not bill Workers, KV, D1, Durable Objects or Queues. When a daily cap is reached, requests fail until 00:00 UTC instead of costing more.
R2 Class B operations adds $14.40 (66% of the bill): you used more than the 10,000,000 included.
R2 storage adds $7.35 (34% of the bill): you used more than the 10 included.
R2 is billed on both plans above its monthly free tier, which is why the Free plan is not $0 here.
R2 egress (bandwidth out) is free, so downloads only cost Class B reads.

Watch: Daily caps are averaged over 30 days here. A single traffic spike can hit them even when the average is safe.

Model assumptions: A month is 30 days. Free daily caps are checked against monthly usage ÷ 30. Durable Object SQLite rows have their own allowance, separate from D1. Taxes, Workers Logs, Images, Stream and add-ons are not included. Growth scales every volume field by the same %.
